Last month, I had a chance to participate in Godiva campaign to promote 3 signature themed boxes. I personally think that using influencers to spread words and gain attention about new products is a smart strategy for any brands regardless of size and industry.
When celebrities with hundred thousand or million followers are overpriced and even hard to reach out to, influencers in certain industry who have less than 20k followers, who are normal people but closer to their fans, are better choice to go to. Brands need attention, influencers need content (or materials and resources to produce content). It’s a trade-off situation.
